The Great Call of CHINA
China Tours and Travel

Better to stumble a little
on new paths
than to stand still
on an old road.

Chinese proverb

Dear Brent,
just a short note to let you know what a great trip George and  I had to China. The highlights of course were The Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. The walk was hard but we made it and we saw only one other pair of walkers and they  were not doing 22 towers as we were. Our guide in Beijing who drove us out to the Wall needs a special mention, he was wonderful company even going on the hike with us which he had not done before and may have regretted as he trailed behind me. I could recommend him to anyone, he had a most engaging personality and George and I took it in turns to sit in the front passenger seat.

Everything went very smoothly and we had no difficulty negotiating the subway which is fantastic, although we didn’t eat the barbecued scorpions.
